Triptych

August 2014

Acrylic painting, left 1/3 of three panels depicting sparse trees with leaves floating in a white sky above bright red rolling hills. Acrylic painting, center 1/3 of three panels depicting sparse trees with leaves floating in a white sky above bright red rolling hills. Acrylic painting, right 1/3 of three panels depicting sparse trees with leaves floating in a white sky above bright red rolling hills.

The experiment here was to create a single continuous landscape across three smaller (8x10) canvases. The motion of the leaves in the wind spreads across the entirety of the piece, and the bold red hills add a pop of surreality.
