ATI Direct
Role: Lead Developer

ATI Direct is a physical therapy provider with multiple locations based in Illinois. This was a brand-new site build, from scratch in Drupal 9. The emphasis was on their statistics: the incidence of conditions, and the days and money lost. In order to provide flexibility and ease of updates, a layout and component library was pioneered.
Front End Library
Based on Bootstrap, and Drupal's new Layout interface, we built a simple, but robust front end library. Each row of content on a page was chosen from a variety of layouts based on a 12-column grid: [½ ¼ ¼], [¼ ¼ ½], [⅓ ⅓ ⅓], [⅓ ⅔], etc. Sections within each row served as content areas, where individual components could be added. Components range from simple text, images, or videos to more complex elements like icons with text and a scrolling number ticker
All of this was available to end users in an intuitive drag and drop interface. Any number and combination of rows could be added to a page, and any number of components could be added to each content area. Components and layouts supported a range of design options including background styles, spacing, and images within the established design system.
Beyond the design, this layout library also handled considerations for device size considerations, accessibility, and performance. All elements went through rigourous planning, design, and testing to ensure that all standards were upheld. With all of the work done up front to build these re-usable components and layouts, content editors are free to create pages without worry.
All work conducted on this project was done in the employ of Sandstorm Design.
